Job Description

We are looking for a Lead Engineer to join our growing engineering organization. In this role, you will provide technical leadership across complex software engineering projects while remaining actively involved in software design and development.

You will work closely with engineering teams, stakeholders, and clients to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions. Beyond project delivery, you will help drive Radity's AI engineering initiatives by promoting modern development practices and identifying opportunities to leverage AI across engineering teams and client solutions.

Your Role

As a Lead Engineer, you will lead engineering initiatives from architecture through delivery while mentoring developers and driving technical excellence across the team.

This role requires a balance of hands-on software development, technical leadership, and stakeholder collaboration. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, leading teams, and continuously improving how software is built.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering teams delivering modern enterprise applications
• Design scalable software architectures and drive technical decision-making
• Develop and review software using TypeScript, Python, or Java
• Mentor engineers through technical guidance and code reviews
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design practical, scalable solutions
• Drive engineering best practices, software quality, and delivery standards
• Lead the adoption of AI-assisted software engineering and identify opportunities to leverage AI across projects and internal processes

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• English proficiency: minimum B2, ideally C1
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience leading engineering teams as a Lead Engineer, Technical Lead, Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, or hands-on Engineering Manager
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, Python, or Java
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and modern engineering practices
• Experience delivering complex enterprise software projects
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and a passion for driving AI adoption within engineering teams
• Experience in the insurance or InsurTech industry is a strong plus
